Interactives will usually have a Peace Spell cast over them. In term 1 this was done by Idun, but since her sleep the power has been entrusted with the godlings. Any three player characters can cast the Peace Spell with two minutes of appropriate roleplay. The Peace Spell can be taken down the same way, but if any three player characters object, it will remain up.
While the Peace Spell is in effect no damage can be done to other characters. You can spar, but it doesn't hurt. Calls other than damage work as normal. It is possible to take damage from other sources, such as magical mishaps. It's also possible to inflict damage on yourself.
